As a Senior Research & Insight Executive, you’ll work closely with our Research & Insight Manager, Alex, and the wider team to understand, challenge and shape briefs into effective research approaches and strategies. You’ll take day-to-day ownership of projects from the initial brief through to analysis, reporting, and presentation, independently managing established projects.

A key part of the role will be supporting and running brand tracking programmes, including questionnaire development, data quality checks, wave-on-wave analysis and turning changes in brand health into clear, commercially useful recommendations. You’ll investigate customer, competitor and market behaviours using quantitative and qualitative research tools, audience platforms and AI-enabled approaches.

Confidently presenting findings to clients and colleagues will be central to the role, alongside managing suppliers, timelines and multiple priorities.

Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, commercial curiosity and the ability to turn complex data into engaging, actionable stories are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage quantitative and qualitative research projects from brief through to delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.
  • Support and lead brand tracking programmes, including questionnaire development, fieldwork coordination, data checking, analysis and reporting.
  • Turn complex data into clear, engaging stories with actionable recommendations for clients
  • Recommend appropriate research methodologies and confidently explain the strengths and limitations of each approach.
  • Manage relationships with panel providers, fieldwork suppliers and other research partners.
  • Present research findings and recommendations confidently to clients and internal teams.
  • Use audience, market and competitor tools to build a rounded understanding of consumers and categories.
  • Collaborate across the agency, support junior team members and stay informed on research innovation, AI applications and wider industry developments.

What We Are Looking For
  • At least three years’ experience in a research and insight role within a media or advertising agency environment.
  • Hands-on brand tracking experience, ideally including questionnaire development, analysis, reporting and client presentations.
  • Experience independently managing research projects or significant parts of the research process.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and confidence working with survey data.
  • Experience creating questionnaires, research plans, analysis frameworks and client-facing reports.
  • Confidence working directly with clients, managing day-to-day communication and presenting findings.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to turn research into commercially relevant insight and good judgement around when to work independently or seek support.
  • Familiarity with the media and advertising ecosystem would be beneficial.
