Senior Sleep & NIV Physiologist

This is an exciting role within our dynamic and well-respected Sleep and Ventilation service that will provide the successful candidate with a wonderful opportunity to practice and develop their skills and expertise in the management of patients with sleep related respiratory conditions and other complex conditions requiring ventilatory support. Based at the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea, you will play an active role in this busy and prestigious department, working between both the Medical and Surgical wards and will be involved with setting up and analysis of sleep studies. You will also initiate patients on non-invasive ventilators (NIV) and also CPAP and be involved in troubleshooting any on-going problems. You will actively participate in the follow-up and ongoing review of patients initiated onto CPAP/NIV therapy via face to face and virtual platforms. You will have experience in the setting up/analyzing of sleep studies including oximetry, Transcutaneous C02, Respiratory Polygraphy, WatchPat, Actigraphy, scoring full Polysomnography’s, MSLT, and MWT tests.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with all the consultants and other clinical physiologists in the department including members of the multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that you are self-motivated and have good communication skills. You should hold a BSc degree (or equivalent qualification) and registration with the appropriate governing body.
