What You'll Do:

• Develop backend services supporting login, MFA, and client authentication
• Design and implement REST APIs using NestJS/TypeScript
• Build frontend experiences with React for new UI needs
• Integrate with identity/MFA platforms like Transmit Security or Auth0
• Deploy and manage services on AWS using Infrastructure as Code
• Operate production services, including database updates and vendor-specific software in AWS
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and automated testing to improve quality and coverage
• Collaborate with product and security teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Continuously improve engineering standards, tools, and system reliability

What You Bring:

• Strong backend development experience with Node.js (NestJS or Express)
• Proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend and backend
• Experience designing REST APIs and writing unit/integration tests (Jest)
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, MFA flows)
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, Secrets Manager)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform)
• Containerisation experience (Docker)and solid Git practices and CI/CD expertise (e.g., GitHub Actions)

Desirable Skills

• React experience for frontend dev and background in identity/authentication/MFA systems
• Familiarity with Kong API Gateway or similar tools and databases (Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB)
• Knowledge of security concepts (IAM, encryption, networking) and microservices architecture
• Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, Grafana) and working in regulated or enterprise environments
