Senior Software Engineer (Supplier Data Manager)
The Supplier Data Manager (SDM) team owns the Akeneo Supplier Data Manager product end-to-end.
Our mission is to bring together and simplify collaboration between retailers, distributors, and suppliers by transforming fragmented and inconsistent product data into a reliable, scalable foundation for commerce. This enables faster time-to-market, better product experiences, and stronger supplier partnerships.
What you will deliver in this role
- Lead the end-to-end development of features and services, from initial discovery through delivery, and close the loop by measuring adoption, validating impact, and iterating based on results
- Engage directly with customers on a regular basis to understand real-world use cases, gather insights, and validate assumptions
- Take technical ownership of core areas within the SDM product, shaping how product data is shared, validated, and enriched across distributed ecosystems
- Design and develop full-stack solutions using technologies such as Python and TypeScript, with exposure to infrastructure tools like GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog
- Continuously refine and challenge the product vision, ensuring alignment between short-term execution and long-term strategy in a fast-moving market
- Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional partners working on adjacent product areas to ensure consistency and alignment
- Balance strategic thinking with practical execution, making informed trade-offs that optimize customer value while maintaining a scalable and maintainable codebase
What will set you up for success at Akeneo
- A strong customer-first mindset, prioritizing user needs and business outcomes over technical perfection
- Solid hands-on experience in full-stack engineering (8+ years), working with Python and TypeScript, along with experience in modern frontend frameworks (ideally React)
- A pragmatic approach to ownership, with experience in DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and cloud-native environments — aligned with a “Built It, Own It” philosophy
- A mentorship-oriented mindset, actively supporting and elevating team members through knowledge sharing and guidance
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences
- A disciplined, test-driven approach to development, ensuring quality, reliability, and maintainability from the outset
