Setting Out Engineer — Various Sites (UK)

AKN Engineering is site engineering and surveying company operating across East Anglia, Hertfordshire, Essex and the South East.

We're looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. Work is project-based, so you'll be deployed across multiple active sites — no two days are the same.

What the role involves

• Setting out for civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure projects
• Working independently or as part of a site engineering team
• Using total station, GNSS and digital levels
• Liaising with site managers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and programme compliance

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year UK setting out experience (essential)
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential) — you must be willing to travel to sites across our operating region
• CSCS card (essential)
• Proficient with total station and level instrument
• Good attention to detail and ability to read construction drawings
