Site HSE Advisor
We are looking for a Site HSE Advisor to join our expanding site team based in West Yorkshire on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to make a real impact to HSE on site. In the role you would be responsible for promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, company standards, and site-specific requirements at the facility. The role provides day-to-day HSE support to site management, employees, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
The Site HSE Advisor will proactively identify hazards, support risk management activities, deliver training and awareness programmes, investigate incidents, monitor environmental performance, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across the site.
Our ideal Site HSE Advisor will have the following skills and qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher equivalent qualification).
- IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH membership, or equivalent.
- Experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role within an industrial, manufacturing, chemical, engineering, or operational environment with COMAH site experience.
- Working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
You'll have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to influence positive HSE behaviours at all levels. With excellent observation skills you'll be able to identify hazards on site and demonstrate an attention to detail with the ability to work independently with initiative. You'll be competent in Microsoft Office applications, HSE reporting systems, effective report writing and incident investigation skills.
