Job Title: Site Inspection Senior Para-Professional
Location: Hornsea 3, Norwich - 4 days onsite in a week
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Job Description:
Monitors work on a construction site. Verifies structural integrity, compliance, safety, and quality of work. May include review of blueprints, checking for proper fire safety systems, surveying soil, and documentation using photographs and inspection logs. Performs regular inspections and reports finding and defects to site managers and clients.
A Senior Para-Professional (S3) requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. May require the following proficiency: Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and training to lower-level employees. Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand.
- Review contractual requirements applicable to Mechanical Completion with the support of Completion Manager
- Review and understand the completion Process and set-up for the site.
- Identify the site MC activities for the project
- Review lessons learnt from previous projects and relevant project plans (e.g SQP, SMP, Completion Plan)
- Review Contractor Quality Plans
- Based on reviews and discussion with stakeholders identify and follow up risks and mitigations to ensure we fulfill Completion expectations
- Educate site personnel in the completion system at site with the support of the completion manager
- Execute and follows up the Quality Plans, master test plan and completion system status for site activities as required.
- Execute Site MC strategy/Plan for the project
- Coordinate and manage the MC/QC activities towards the time schedule and the different contractual milestones
- Support with Access for the site team to the PCS
- Send notification for Inspections and compile required documents
- Inspection Notification for MC Walkdown
- Consolidate and Raise Punch Items in PCS from inspections
- Report and follow up Punch Items With relevant parties for actions.
- Reviews the complete MC/Quality documentation provided for each Handover scope.
- Update the PCS with all the information required regarding MC activities
- Weekly reporting of MC / Punch Items / Quality Records Status Raise deviation in QIT
- Ensure Compilation of permanent Quality records on time in Coordination with the SQM.
- Takes part in quality meetings with Customer, contractor, and Hitachi Energy personnel
- Capacity to communicate, result oriented, speed in execution, openness and listen to others. Previous Completion System experience required. Solid inspection background
- Technical / engineering / quality management education – minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Power or energy industry experience
- Track record and proven capability in Change Management, managing internal project/program in large and complex organization
