If you're a technically strong engineering leader who built your career on solid engineering foundations and still care about code quality, DevOps maturity, and scalable systems, you could be who we are looking for.
We're partnered with a high-growth UK SaaS technology company building data-driven digital products that help commercial teams better understand and engage their customers. As they scale their customer-facing platforms, they're looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to manage a squad (10-12 devs), shape engineering standards and lead the next phase of platform evolution.
The Tech Environment
The platform is built with modern technologies including: TypeScript, NestJS, NodeJS, Vue, Redis, SQL Server, Snowflake. Microservices Architecture, and mature DevOps principles.
What matters most is engineering quality, architectural thinking, and leadership credibility, not a rigid checklist of frameworks.
You'll balance people leadership, technical direction, and delivery performance, ensuring teams build maintainable, secure, and high-performing systems.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in a SaaS or product-led environment
- Extensive experience as a hands-on software engineer in previous roles
- Proven leadership of engineering teams
- Experience building and operating systems at scale
- A solid understanding of automated testing and QA practices
- Familiarity with modern DevOps approaches
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- The ability to quickly pick up new tools and solve complex problems
