**What You’ll Do**
- Design, implement, and build robust features for an essential internal product, with a strong focus on integrating and leveraging AI tooling.
- Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial qualification and design participation to production deployment, monitoring, and ongoing customer support.
- Independently plan, prioritize, and execute your work, delivering on complex tasks with minimal assistance from senior team members.
- Identify and proactively resolve technical problems within requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Set up, maintain, and improve critical test, monitoring, and survey infrastructure and processes to ensure system health and performance.
- Champion code health, system maintainability, and scalability, actively working to identify and pay off technical debt.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested product and system development code, conducting comprehensive testing beyond unit level (e.g., integration, performance, stress, security, load, fuzz).
- Design code with testability in mind and create detailed test case descriptions.
- Review code developed by peers, providing constructive feedback to uphold best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting materials based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by thoroughly analyzing their sources and impact on operations and quality.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience in full stack software development.
- Experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Proficiency in debugging, diagnosis, and resolution of complex software issues.
- Strong systems thinking capabilities, with an ability to understand and design interconnected components.
- Expertise in test engineering, including designing for testability and conducting various testing types.
- Advanced programming skills in relevant languages.
- Solid architecture knowledge and understanding of software design patterns.
- Ability to perform data analysis and synthesis to inform technical decisions.
- Experience with software engineering system design principles.
- Understanding of best practices for code and system health.
- Strong code comprehension abilities, capable of quickly understanding and modifying existing codebases.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience in software engineering, demonstrating a strong trajectory of growth and expertise.
- Direct experience with AI tooling in software development.
