Software Tester
Role purpose
Deliver high-quality testing for identity processing and provisioning across the identity lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver). You’ll validate that identities, accounts, and entitlements are provisioned and removed accurately, securely, and in line with control expectations.
Key responsibilities
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing for identity processing and provisioning changes.
• Test end-to-end flows across source systems (e.g., HR), identity platform, directories (AD/LDAP), and target applications.
• Validate provisioning outcomes: account creation/updates, entitlement assignment/removal, approvals, and de-provisioning.
• Perform negative and exception-path testing (failed connectors, retries, reconciliation, manual overrides).
• Validate identity data mapping and transformations (attributes, rules, and role logic such as birthright access).
• Prepare and maintain test artefacts: test cases, test data, execution evidence, and test summary updates.
• Log and manage defects with clear steps, expected vs actual results, and supporting evidence (logs/screenshots/API responses).
• Support UAT and release activities by providing test status, risks, and go/no-go input.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and platform teams to clarify requirements and improve test coverage.
Required skills & experience
• Proven experience in software testing (manual and/or automation) in complex integration environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts: identity lifecycle, provisioning/de-provisioning, entitlements, RBAC/ABAC, approvals, recertification.
• Experience testing integrations across multiple systems (HR feeds, directories, IAM tools, and business applications).
• Solid SQL skills and ability to validate data in databases/logs; comfortable analysing batch files and API payloads.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and test management/defect tools (e.g., Jira, ALM).
• Strong defect writing, stakeholder communication, and evidence-based reporting
Desirable skills
• API testing experience (e.g., Postman) and basic understanding of REST/JSON.
• Exposure to IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Azure AD) and directories (AD/LDAP).
• Test automation experience (e.g., Java/Python, Selenium, REST-assured, Cypress) and CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins/GitLab).
• Understanding of audit/control requirements for access management and segregation of duties.
