Special Situations Associate

Associate – Credit Special Situations | London

I’m working with a leading investment platfrom that are looking to hire an Associate into its Special Situations team in London.

The team invests across stressed and distressed credit, complex capital structures, restructurings, liability management and event-driven situations, with a focus on identifying attractive risk-adjusted returns through detailed fundamental and downside analysis.

The role offers the opportunity to:

• Underwrite new investment opportunities across the credit and special situations markets
• Analyse capital structures, liquidity, debt documentation and recovery values
• Build detailed cash flow, leverage, restructuring and returns models
• Assess downside protection, catalysts and potential paths to value realisation
• Work on complex situations including restructurings, refinancings, liability management transactions and other corporate events
• Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the investment process

This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate looking to move beyond traditional banking and develop genuine principal investing experience within a sophisticated credit platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, restructuring, distressed debt, private credit or special situations, with strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
