Evelina Community Occupational Therapy have the opportunity to recruit to permanent and part time Band 6 posts.
The Evelina Community Children’s Occupational Therapy Service is an integral part of specialist services that provides care to the population of Lambeth and Southwark. Southwark and Lambeth are multicultural and vibrant inner South London boroughs. The service is dynamic and works closely with multidisciplinary and multiagency colleagues.

The post holders will have the opportunity to work across our community sites with Evelina Community OT team based at Sunshine House Child Development Centre in Camberwell, Southwark and Mary Sheridan Child development Centre, Kennington, Lambeth.
The successful applicants will be working within a large team of community children occupational therapists that support services to the Evelina community population in Lambeth and Southwark and will also be an integral part of the experts@hand multidisciplinary team supporting SEND reforms across these two boroughs.
You will have the opportunity to see children 0-19 across a range of conditions such as complex physical disabilities, Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and deliver blocks of assessment and therapy intervention within the service model.
Within our service we use the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-e) to guide our clinical reasoning and practice- keeping a clear focus on occupational outcomes.

As a Band 6 OT you will have an opportunity to:
Develop your community children occupational therapy skills, e.g. assess and treat children with a range of developmental conditions within the child’s home and community settings such as nursery and school
Develop your skills in complex case management of children and families
Develop your skills in Participation, Environment and Occupation and its application when assessing need and working with families and carers
Develop supervisory, leadership and service development skills
Develop your skills in service development
The Occupational Therapy service has a supportive and progressive management structure with departmental objectives founded upon the principles of the clinical governance framework and trust core values. The trust is committed to continuing the professional development of its workforce and the department has structured in-service training supported by personal and professional development plans and yearly appraisals.
