Specialist Support Mentor

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Mentor to join our education support team in Leicester from August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to empowering students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

As a Specialist Support Mentor, you will:

Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional learning needs.

Build positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience, and independence.

Support students with social, emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals.

Help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children or young people in educational, youth work, mentoring, or support settings.

Understands the challenges faced by students with SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs.

Is patient, empathetic, and highly motivated.

Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
