Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) - Registered Nurse post for 36 hours per week working across 24/7 service working days and nights.
There is an exciting Opportunity available at Wrightington Hospital (Centre of Excellence) for you to join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team delivering quality patient centred care and patient safety throughout the patient pathway.
We are seeking an exceptional individual who has energy, commitment and enthusiasm to apply for this exciting post within our Enhanced Care Unit and have the ambition and desire to develop your skills within such an environment The Enhanced Care unit consists of 6 beds which are utilised flexibly to care for level 1 and 2 patients following surgery.
Evidence of qualifications listed in the person spec will be requested at interview and during compliance checks.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis as it has been established to provide cover for secondment and will end on 01-Jul-2027 or when the substantive postholder returns.
Whilst this post is advertised on a fixed term basis there is the potential that this post may become permanent in the future.

- Acting as a catalyst in questioning expert professional knowledge within the team influencing application of theory in practice.
- Identifying, maintaining, evaluating and improving the quality of care through application of evidence based practice within the clinical area.
- Developing sound clinical skills and competency within their defined field working without direct supervision to ensure the application of professional standards in all aspects of care delivery within the clinical environment.
- Demonstrating awareness of the appropriateness of transferable skills when providing individualised high quality patient care
