Full-Time Positions Available | Day and Night Shifts

Harley House Supported Living is seeking dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Clacton-on-Sea.

This rewarding role involves supporting a vibrant 21-year-old woman with a learning disability and complex needs. She is highly active, full of personality, and has a real zest for life. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a meaningful difference, supporting her to achieve her goals, maximise her independence, and enjoy a fulfilling life.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. Successful candidates will be proactive, adaptable, and able to multitask while providing high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
  • Support with daily living activities and community access.
  • Promote independence, choice, and inclusion.
  • Safely support behaviours that may challenge.
  • Follow care and support plans, risk assessments, and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with family members and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Support participation in meaningful activities and interests.

About You

  • Have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Have experience supporting behaviours that challenge.
  • Are physically and emotionally resilient.
  • Are positive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Can remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are committed to learning and personal development.
  • Enjoy being active and engaging in a wide range of activities.

Training & Induction

Successful Candidates Will Undertake

  • Enhanced specialist training.
  • A comprehensive minimum two-week induction programme.
  • Shadow shifts with experienced team members.
  • Time spent with the individual's family to develop a deeper understanding of her personality, preferences, communication style, and support needs.
