Job Overview
The SPA (ND) Team Manager will lead and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care through receiving, responding to, and overseeing referrals for ADHD/autism from the boroughs covered by CNWL NHS Trust .
They will assess whether there are clinical needs and ensure referral to the appropriate provider in accordance with need and signpost to social and voluntary sector where appropriate.
They will provide strong and effective leadership to the team who deliver triage and will liaise with the wider CAMHS SPA as appropriate and the borough teams/hubs . They will provide day to day leadership, management and co-ordination focusing on delivering high quality mental health support services. To actively work as part of the team as required answering referrals. Participate in setting standards of care in the team and ensure that young people across the
boroughs are given fair access to treatment and services. Work in conjunction with the Clinical Lead to ensure that all aims, goals and targets are completed successfully. Support the Clinical Lead and Service Manager in regular reviews of the team and performance, and adapting practice or the service in collaboration with other key professionals. Participate in multi-agency meetings internal and externally.

Main duties of the job
- Provide supervision, coaching, mentoring of existing staff and new staff taking up post. To motivate and support individuals to achieve their objectives.
- Refer callers onto CAMHS local teams where appropriate and liaising with teams.
- Signpost callers on as necessary
- Respond to referrals within time limits set out in ND SPA Operational Protocol
- Be fully conversant with statutory and non-statutory services across Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and Milton Keynes and the provision of CNWL services in each borough.
- Ensure safe and effective delivery of care / advice to young people and their carers
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, such as GPs, taking and triaging referrals as appropriate.
- Maintain a good public image of the SPA
- Be aware of appropriate escalation procedures in relation to complex cases.
- Participate in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the SPA Service, ensuring that all required data is collected.
- Ensure that all professional and Trust-wide clinical policies are adhered to.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of accurate patient records on relevant patient information system (ie. System One).
- Support the administrators and clinicians in the screening management of emails in the SPA (ND) inbox.
- Support in the longer term strategic development of the SPA service.

- Degree level of education or equivalent experience
- Have or be working towards a masters, degree or post graduate diploma in a subject relevant to this post operational scope
