Trust Payments have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Test Analyst to join our Trust Retail team.


Location: Hybrid- Bournemouth, United Kingdom

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Working Arrangement:

  • During first 6 months: 5 days per week in office
  • Post-probation: Hybrid working - 3 days per week in office

Working Hours: Flexible start times between 08:00-09:15 (no shift patterns). Finish times adjust based on start time, lunch breaks, and leaves participation where applicable.


***During your six-month probationary period, you'll be based in the office full-time. Once probation is successfully completed, you'll have the opportunity to move to a hybrid working pattern.


Please note that due to the nature of this role, all shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an in-person interview at our Bournemouth office.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are looking for a Test Analyst to join our Trust Payments Retail team. You will work alongside the retail development and delivery team to ensure the quality of our retail product set, in line with our established test strategy and processes. The role combines manual scripted testing with automation work.


What We Expect of You, Day To Day:

  • Attend requirement refinement and test condition design sessions, contributing testing perspectives and estimations
  • Analyse requirements and design test conditions covering both positive and negative scenarios
  • Write and execute tests (manual and automated) and analyse results
  • Capture test results accurately, provide clear test evidence, raise defects, and investigate failures
  • Provide updates on testing progress and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Apply testing processes across multiple projects to maintain the highest standards of software quality
  • Demonstrate new functionality and bug fixes to the product owner
  • Maintain clear communication with the development team throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and with autonomy, adapting to new projects as needed
  • Maintain and contribute to improvements in the automated test framework


Qualifications

Core Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or testing roles
  • Working knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter)
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and practices

Desirable Skills & Background

  • A degree in computing, mathematics, science, or a related field
  • ISTQB Foundation level qualification or higher
  • Experience with a programming language (Java preferred)
  • Knowledge of web service APIs
  • Experience using Cucumber and writing test scripts in Gherkin language
  • Experience creating and executing reusable automated test scripts within a Java Maven framework
