Role Description
As a Transport Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient coordination and operation of transport logistics. Key responsibilities include scheduling and managing daily transport activities, facilitating the dispatch and receipt of steel products, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to meet delivery commitments. This position is full-time and based on-site in Redcar, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to maintain smooth transport operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Knowledge or experience in Patient Care and understanding of logistics within healthcare or related industries (desirable)
- Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and operational standards in the workplace
- Familiarity with transport operations, logistics, or a similar field is a plus
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the capacity to work well under pressure
- Ability to work on-site and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
