£34,434 to £36,363 per annum
Our Strategic Transport Team is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and proactive individual - preferably with a background in transport planning - who wants to work in a vibrant and forward-thinking environment helping to deliver ambitious long-term sustainable growth in Norfolk.
The role
- You will be involved in a range of activities including helping to deliver our Local Transport Plan.
- You will influence and build partnerships across local authorities and external organisations developing strong networks to help deliver multi-agency projects.
- You will represent the County Council on a range of partnerships, working with regional and national agencies on rail, and with local representative groups on developing and delivering initiatives across Norfolk.
- You will support the team’s work gathering and analysing evidence to prepare business cases for bid writing as well as helping to shape strategic transport policies and support the strategic oversight of infrastructure programmes.
Our ideal candidate
We'd love to hear from people with a background in transport planning. The position is both challenging and interesting: you will deal with often complex proposals; have a good attention for detail; have a sound knowledge of why transport is important; and the skills to influence the outcome of key decisions taken by others.
