  • Fit and service vehicle accessories such as immobilisers, alarms, infotainment systems, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including service checks and consumable replacement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
  • Support effective communication with internal stakeholders by providing accurate technical feedback and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Educated to City & Guilds / BTEC / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher, ideally in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field.

  • Understanding of component measurement techniques and data acquisition.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, data analysis, and presentation preparation.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with sensitive mechanical and electronic components.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for explaining technical issues to colleagues and stakeholders.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with advanced vehicle systems such as ADAS, navigation, telematics, infotainment, connected services, or in mobile phone/PC-related testing environments.

Experience

  • Experience working with a wide range of vehicle components, including engines, braking systems, suspension, transmission, climate control, security, and audio systems.
  • Exposure to data capture, analysis, and formal technical report writing.
