Vehicle Technician

Plymouth City Council’s Fleet Services Department are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician, HGV/LGV mechanical fitter to joins its team within the workshop based at the Prince Rock Depot.
Working 37 hours a week with optional overtime available with business need.
You will be required to Inspect, service and maintain a wide range of Heavy commercial and LGV vehicles to ensure the highest standards of roadworthiness maintaining any health and safety and legislative requirements.
NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience is required, additional training can be supplied, on specific vehicle types.
Category C licence is essential for the role. Ability to carry out electrical repairs and welding would be beneficial to the role.
Shift rota and working times can be negotiated at interview, current working patterns are Monday – Friday.
