An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Ward Product Management Stock Control Officer. The role is Inverness based and will initially be based within the National treatment Centre (NTC) Inverness.
The NTC is a 24-bed unit, situated at the city’s University campus, which provides elective inpatient, orthopaedic and ophthalmology services to patients over 7 days.
The candidate will support the operations of the National Treatment Centre Theatre suite and in-patient & Out-patient areas within the NTC. You will be responsible for the effective & efficient management of products and instrumentation used with the NTC.
You will be part of the team which plays a vital role within the NTC and the wider Ward Product Management Service.
Candidates must be willing to work in a flexible manner across all areas within the NTC and the wider Ward Product Management Service locations as required, accepting that not every day will be the same. We must be responsive to our customers needs and this is best achieved with having helpful, supportive staff that put their customer first.
Candidates must be highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative, developing positive relationships with customers and colleagues while ensuring a high level of accuracy in all that they do. Candidates should have excellent communication / persuasion & negotiation / people skills. Candidates must be able to communicate positively and professionally in an approachable, supportive, but firm manner. Day to day, the post holder will be largely self-managing and should have the ability to prioitise their workload. We are looking for a conscientious, methodical and organised individual who is a skilled team player.
It is essential that candidates have relevant supply chain experience and must also have IT based competence in the use of MS Office applications to allow them to fully exploit the functionality and reporting capability of these applications. The successful candidate should have an SVQ3 qualification in storage / warehousing and distribution or equivalent suitable experience, as well as a good standard of education.
