The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service support the health and wellbeing of all Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST) staff, volunteers and placement students. Risks associated with this work include sleep difficulties, musculoskeletal problems, and workplace injuries. We also know that those who work in the ambulance sector are more at risk of mental ill health, suicide and are more likely to attribute work as a contributing factor to their difficulties.

As a Wellbeing Practitioner you will provide first line support for the Wellbeing Service. This will include receiving telephone calls and referrals from managers reporting staff absence; running drop-in clinics; and attending outreach events (e.g., to call centres and ambulance stations). You will be expected to offer compassionate care to our staff, ensure confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

This exciting and varied role requires an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative individual who responds positively to new challenges.

Location: Matrix One, Swansea

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

In line with the Trust’s Starting Salary Procedure, all applicants will start at the bottom of the band for the position applied for, but can apply for a higher salary if they have previous experience relevant to the position.
