About British Rowing
British Rowing is the official governing body for the sport of rowing in England. Founded in 1882, the organisation is responsible for the overall development of the sport, from grassroots participation up to elite competition, as well as the training and selection of rowers to represent Great Britain.
The organisation supports the Great Britain rowing squad, which produces World, Olympic, and Paralympic champions. Funding for the squad is supported by the National Lottery Sports Fund.
