How we check sponsorship
- Licensed employers only. Every job is at an employer on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors, which we re-sync every day.
- Every advert read. Each advert is read automatically when it reaches us. Adverts that rule out sponsorship, or require UK nationality, years of UK residency or security clearance, are removed. The check is automated and can occasionally get it wrong, so read the full advert before you apply.
- Labelled when it's explicit. "Sponsorship offered" means the advert says sponsorship is available, and we quote its words. "May sponsor" and "In-UK sponsorship" mark adverts with conditions. Everything else is "Licensed sponsor": the employer can sponsor and the advert has no restrictions.
- Kept current. New jobs are added every hour. We check for closed roles every day, and job-board listings are removed 30 days after posting.
A licence means an employer can sponsor, not that every role qualifies. The job still has to meet the salary and occupation rules for your visa, which are set out on GOV.UK.
