Came to London the hard way and drew the map he wished he'd had. Builds it, breaks it, fixes it, reads every email.
Hello from London numbers as of 16 Oct 2026
SponsorJobs is a job board for people who need a UK work visa: small, independent, and run by one person with a handful of tireless helpers. Here's how it's going, who's behind it, and what we fixed along the way.
A note from the founder
When I moved to London, I learned how hard it is to tell which job adverts will actually sponsor you. You spend an evening on an application, then find "no sponsorship" in the very last line.
So I built the thing I wished existed. If something here looks wrong, or you'd like to see a number I haven't shown yet, write to me. I read everything.
P.S. Yes, I check this page more often than I should.
Honest ones. Counted by a script, not by a designer.
How it's going
Every week since launch, dips included. The summer was quiet. Then it wasn't.
Clicks on Apply that took someone to an employer's application page, per week. Bots and double-counted clicks removed.
This week so far: 964, on track for about 1,477 (dashed).
People with a free account. Before mid-September you didn't need one, so almost nobody made one.
Why no visitor numbers? We only started counting real visitors, with bots filtered out, on 7 October. Visitors join this page once there are about three months of clean data. How we count
The best job is the one straight from the employer's own careers page. Every week, that black bar gets a little longer.
The crew
One human and five tireless automations. None of them sleep, except the human.
Came to London the hard way and drew the map he wished he'd had. Builds it, breaks it, fixes it, reads every email.
Reads each advert to the very last line, and strikes out the ones whispering "no sponsorship".
Fetches the Home Office roll of licensed sponsors. Fall off the roll, and your adverts leave with you.
Follows each advert home to its employer on the register. If there's no road home, the advert stays out.
Walks the halls and puts out the lamp of every job that has been filled.
Rides out every Tuesday morning with a letter of new jobs picked for you.
Revenue: none yet. SponsorJobs Pro, our paid plan, is brand new. Revenue joins this page once there's enough of it to draw a line.
Employers' own careers pages now beat job-board copies, so you apply where the job really lives.
Similar roles got smarter: matched by what the job is, not just what it’s called.
A weekly job alert, the Visa salary card, and a feed that learns what you open.
A page that only shows wins isn't open. It's an advert.
Until 7 October our site loaded some apply links in the background when you hovered over them, so about one click in three was counted twice. We fixed it, and corrected the numbers on this page.
In May an over-eager security setting blocked our own job imports for nine days. Now an alarm tells us within the hour.
For a few hours the visa-options count on /jobs read "0". A tidy-up script zeroed the wrong number. Fixed the same day.
The small print
Every number on this page, and exactly what it means. A script recounts them every morning; the date at the top says when it last did.
Open jobs on SponsorJobs right now: matched to an employer on the Home Office sponsor register, not a duplicate of another listing, and not ruled out by the advert itself.
Employers on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors (Worker and Temporary Worker routes). We download it once a day.
The share of live jobs we took from the employer's own careers page, including NHS Jobs, rather than from a job board. When the same job is on both, we keep the employer's copy.
From our study of 92,598 adverts from licensed sponsors: 14.1% ruled out sponsorship, or required UK nationality, years of UK residence or security clearance. We remove those adverts before they reach you.
Clicks on Apply that opened an employer's application page, counted per week. Clicks from bots are removed. Until 7 October our site loaded some apply links in the background when you hovered over them, which counted about one click in three twice. For the weeks before 12 October we kept only the share we proved were real clicks (two in three); from 12 October every click is counted directly. We can't see whether someone finished their application on the employer's site.
People with a free SponsorJobs account, counted at the end of each week. Our own test accounts are left out. Since 17 September you need an account to apply, which is why the line takes off there.
Weeks run Monday to Sunday (UTC). The current week is unfinished, so from its third day we draw it dashed at the pace so far: this week's count so far, scaled up to seven days.
Not shown yet. We started counting real visitors, with bots filtered out, on 7 October; visitors join this page after about three months of clean data. There's no revenue yet; it joins once there's enough of it to draw a line. Once a number is on this page, it stays.
Tell us which number you'd like on this page, or what you wish we'd build. A human reads it, promise.
