Account executive / senior account executive

Overview

We are recruiting for an ambitious account executive with a genuine interest in visual arts and a desire to build a career in communications. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the contemporary art scene and some experience of working in arts organisations or communication agencies.

Your role

• Contribute ideas to planning, developing and implementing strategy
• Understand campaign timelines and schedules for distributing press materials
• Writing and editing releases etc
• Create client reports
• Deal with press requests
• Attend client and artist meetings where appropriate
• Help co-ordinate and run events / openings
• Send out press releases and upload listings
• Assist your team in the day to day running of their accounts, depending on their varying workloads
• Distribute and manage press cuttings
• Research
• Prepare under direction minutes and agendas
• Monitoring client expenses
• Face to face press appointments with press including freelancers
• Pitching / journalist follow-up of send outs
• Develop and maintain good working relations with the media
• Be abreast of new media developments including new publications and social media
