Job Title: Accounts Assistant (12 Month MAT Cover)
Location: Stansted
Employment Type: 12 Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Shifts: Monday – Friday
Hours: Mon – Thurs (08:30 – 17:00) and Fri (08:30 – 14:30)

About the Role
Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct. Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and month end journals. Recording and filing cash transactions. Controlling credit and chasing debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage processing of purchase invoices (incl. obtaining approvals, setting up suppliers in finance system, filing)
- Manage and respond to queries from suppliers
- Full responsibility for Continia Document Management
- Accounts Payable ledger quarterly reconciliation
- Process supplier payments in the bank
- Manage purchase requests process and issue purchase orders
- Assistance with customer management/sales analysis
- Month end processing of accruals and prepayments
- Month end processing of accruals and prepayments
- Ad-hoc support with other tasks in finance team (bank allocations, covering mailboxes)
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified member of an accountancy body such as CIMA or ACCA
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in accounting
- level or GCSE A-C standard grades
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (good to have, but not necessary)
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
