Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The company is a multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy working across social housing, residential, commercial and public sector projects that delivers expert advice across quantity surveying, building surveying, architecture and structural engineering.
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who wants hands on project exposure, support from experienced professionals and a clear path for development within a growing consultancy.
The Opportunity
In this role you’ll support the commercial and contractual management of projects across a varied portfolio, gaining valuable exposure to both office and site based work. You’ll work closely with Senior and Chartered Quantity Surveyors, as well as wider multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors across a range of projects.
What You’ll Do
- Supporting cost plans, budgets and feasibility appraisals
- Assisting with tender documentation, analysis and procurement recommendations
- Helping prepare valuations, payment recommendations and final accounts
- Monitoring costs, variations, risks and project expenditure
- Reviewing contractor applications, drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Supporting contract administration, including JCT contracts
- Attending site visits, client meetings and contractor meetings
- Maintaining accurate project records and delivering a professional service to clients
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £45,000
