Job Opportunity: Vehicle Technician I Strip Fitter
Location: Kingsnorth

Working Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 06:30-16:30
Salary: £16.59 – 18.61 per hour (Up to £46,093.00 per annum)
Our client is a prominent leader in the field of automotive logistics and remarketing solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician as well as a Vehicle Strip Fitter to join our client's team. Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced workshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Workshop Manager.
Vehicle Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general servicing of vehicles.
- Undertake general tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
- Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
- Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
- Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
- Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required
- Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
- Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
- Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
- IMI or City and Guilds on level 3 light vehicle repairs.
- Full UK/EU driving licence.
Strip Fitter Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Stripping and fitting panels
- Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods
- Removing parts and panels off a range of vehicles
- Ensuring that all nuts, bolts, screws and any other fixings are labelled and correctly stored ready for when the stripped parts and panels are needed to be put back on to the vehicle.
- Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required
- Training bodyshop trainee staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Full UK/EU driving licence.
