Brand & Customer Assistant
We're looking for a Brand & Customer Assistant to join the team at Vital Innovations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in marketing while gaining valuable experience in customer service, brand management, content creation, and e-commerce.
Working across our family of brands, you'll support everything from product launches and retailer content to customer communications and social media, helping us create brilliant experiences for both our customers and retail partners.
What you'll do
- Support the delivery of effective, customer-first marketing activity
- Help keep the brand department running smoothly and on track day-to-day
- Day-to-day brand & marketing admin, including general email enquires, new product line forms, sending samples out etc
- Work closely with Product, Sales, and Supply teams to ensure product accuracy and consistency
- Brief and liaise with external agencies (web, design, PR) to bring campaigns to life
- Assist with product uploads, content updates, and marketing materials across Vital Baby and retailer websites
- Get involved across campaigns – assisting with everything from content creation and socials to reporting and asset management
- Support UK and International sales teams with the right content and assets for their markets
- Keep an eye on trends, competitors, and what’s landing with customers
- Be a first point of contact for customer enquiries across phone, email, social, and online platforms
- Respond to customers in a way that’s helpful, human, and on-brand
- Resolve issues and product queries with a calm, solutions-focused approach
- Monitor and respond to product reviews across Vital Baby and retailer sites
- Spot patterns in customer feedback and share insights to help us improve
Key Responsibilities
- Support both marketing and customer activity day-to-day
- Help bring marketing plans and campaigns to life
- Work alongside the Brand Development Manager and Brand & Content Coordinator on brand initiatives
- Collaborate with external agencies and influencers
- Carry out market and customer research
- Track and report on marketing and customer performance
- Assist with content management and organisation, including product and content uploads and updates
- Keep brand assets organised and up to date across all platforms
- Support trade shows and company events
- Manage marketing collateral and samples
- Stay close to customer feedback and take action where needed
- Be a first point of contact for customer enquiries across email, social, and online platforms, escalating where necessary
- Help deliver a consistent, positive brand experience across every touchpoint
Skills & Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of marketing and business principles
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Able to spot trends and turn them into useful insights
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Familiar with social media and digital marketing platforms
- Experience with Shopify, Amazon, or customer service tools is a bonus (but not essential!)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Naturally customer-focused

📍 Office-based role in Hatfield, Hertfordshire
📅 Full-time, permanent position
☀️ 20 days holiday + bank holidays, with additional holiday given based on length of service
💵 £25k+ per annum, depending on experience
