Summary

The Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and translating requirements into functional specifications to support organizational objectives. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, improve processes, and support the delivery of data-driven and technology-enabled solutions. A strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, stakeholder management, and documentation is essential. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure solutions align with strategic goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications.

• Conduct process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with cross-functional teams.

• Support the development and testing of solutions to ensure requirements are met.

• Create user stories, process flows, and business requirement documents (BRDs).

• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and project managers.

• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Perform gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of deliverables.

• Maintain documentation of business processes and system requirements.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a professional environment.

• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and frameworks.

• Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.

• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.

• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear documentation.

• Experience working with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.

• Experience working in the UK Public Sector is a plus.
