Business Development Manager
Recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 for the second year in a row and recently recognised as one of CODE's Happiest Places to Work 2026, Kricket is a collection of modern Indian restaurants that combine British ingredients with the flavours and aromas of India. Having started life in a 20-seater shipping container at Pop Brixton, Kricket now operates permanent locations in Brixton, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch and Soho alongside our award-winning bar concept, SOMA. We have built our reputation on bold food, great drinks, and a warm welcome.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the first Business Development Manager role in the group. You won’t be inheriting a pipeline or playbook- you will build them! Your primary mission will be to proactively generate new revenue across Kricket and SOMA at group level. You will find, pursue and convert new opportunities for group dining, group bar bookings, private and corporate events, and our new direct catering offer.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who thrives on prospecting, pitching, and securing corporate, agency, and private clients for group dining, events, and venue takeovers.
- Experienced in launching and scaling offers, ready to build awareness and win recurring corporate accounts for Kricket Catering.
- Someone with an active network who can connect with local businesses, office managers, EAs/PAs, HR, and workplace teams to convert one-off bookings into long-term accounts.
- Able to partner with Marketing, Reservations, and kitchen/bar teams to craft packages, set menus, and pitch materials that convert.
- Skilled at closing deals and executing seamless handovers to our Reservations & Events team for flawless delivery.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- An established networker with at least 3 years’ experience in a sales or business development role within hospitality, events, or food & drink, with a contacts book you can draw on from day one.
- Someone who thrives on a blank page, creates their own opportunities, and doesn't wait to be told where to look.
- Highly organised with a disciplined approach to pipeline management, confident in negotiating, and clear on what a great deal looks like.
- Someone who clients love dealing with and who deeply values the operational teams delivering what they sell.
- Hospitality-obsessed, curious about food, drink, and London’s group dining and corporate events scene.
- Experience with Tripleseat, SevenRooms, or delivery/ordering platforms (e.g., Deliveroo, Slerp, StoreKit).
- Prior experience launching or growing a corporate catering/delivery proposition.
