The role will drive high-impact initiatives spanning regional growth, go-to-market effectiveness, employee engagement, and EU ecosystem development; strengthen operating cadence and decision-making; and ensure accountability for agreed outcomes. Working across global, functional, and operational leadership teams, the position will report to the Vice President, Sales.

This is a strategic leadership and execution role. Administrative scheduling support is not the primary focus of the position.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Partner with the EU Region Head and regional leadership team to shape strategic priorities, translate them into executable plans, define success measures, and monitor progress against agreed business outcomes.
  • Lead selected regional growth, transformation, marketing, and go-to-market initiatives in partnership with regional and global teams.
  • Move fluidly between strategy and execution, ensuring that priorities are converted into clear actions, ownership, timelines, and measurable results.

Portfolio Governance and Business Rhythm

  • Establish governance for the portfolio of regional priorities by tracking milestones, outcomes, risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Challenge delays, coordinate resolution of issues, and escalate material risks with clear context and recommended actions.
  • Design and maintain an effective operating cadence for regional leadership reviews, strategic discussions, and follow-through on commitments.

Decision Support and Executive Leverage

  • Synthesize business, financial, commercial, and organizational information into concise insights, options, and recommendations that support timely decisions.
  • Provide strategic and operational leverage to the EU Region Head by shaping agendas, preparing decision materials and executive briefs, and ensuring disciplined follow-through.
  • Exercise judgement in assessing matters directed to the EU Region Head, resolve or route issues within delegated authority, and escalate high-priority matters with clear recommendations.

Cross-functional Leadership and Regional Influence

  • Represent the EU Region Head in advancing the regional excellence agenda and align client-facing, Marketing, go-to-market, and enabling teams on priorities and execution expectations.
  • Build alignment across regional and global stakeholders by clarifying decisions, resolving competing priorities, connecting interdependent workstreams, and maintaining accountability for agreed actions.
  • Develop trusted relationships with internal leaders and selected external stakeholders to advance regional priorities, strengthen the EU ecosystem, and remove barriers to execution.
  • Facilitate constructive conflict resolution and help leadership teams make informed trade-offs across opportunities, investments, and resources.

Evolving Scope and Delegated Authority

  • As the role matures, assume broader responsibility for prioritizing strategic opportunities and shaping commercial and pricing recommendations within authority delegated by the EU Region Head.
  • Lead special projects and time-sensitive priorities that require discretion, structured problem-solving, and coordination across multiple teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Approximately 10 years of experience in consulting, business analyst, a business leadership office, or a comparable strategic role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders, supporting executive decisions, and delivering transformation or growth priorities.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment across functions and time zones.
  • Exposure to the healthcare, life sciences, or professional services sectors is preferred.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong business acumen and analytical capability, with the ability to connect strategic, commercial, financial, and organizational considerations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and executive communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build trust with senior leaders.
  • Ability to drive outcomes across teams without direct authority and collaborate effectively with diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Strategic and growth-oriented mindset, with the learning agility to understand complex business issues quickly and move between strategy and execution.
  • High levels of judgement, discretion, ownership, and personal accountability.
  • Entrepreneurial approach, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace.
  • Passion for the healthcare and life sciences industries.
