Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact within a thriving adult community mental health service? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking to recruit a full-time (1 wte), highly motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team of passionate and skilled psychological therapists. We provide a psychological therapy service to adults living in Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM), as well as across the whole of Berkshire through the centralised Community Mental Health Psychological Therapies (CMHPT) service.
Working collaboratively with WAM Community Mental Health Services (CMHS), our team aims to deliver the highest quality care for adults with significant mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to use your clinical expertise within a well-established service that is committed to providing evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions and achieving excellent outcomes for those we support.
We are committed to supporting our staff to flourish professionally and personally. You will have access to a range of CPD opportunities, enabling you to further develop your clinical skills, as well as leadership opportunities through service development projects, supervision experience and training.
The post is based in Maidenhead. We support flexible and agile working, with some opportunities to work from home where service needs allow.
Assessment and Formulation: Conduct clinical assessments and develop clear and detailed psychological formulation of the service user’s presenting difficulties.
Treatment Planning: In collaboration with the service user, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues, develop personalised treatment plans based on service user needs, assessment findings, formulation of the presenting problems, and evidence of effectiveness to support recovery goals and improve quality of life.
Individual and Group Interventions: Deliver evidence based psychological interventions using a range of models, specialist techniques and modalities, and adapting interventions based on evolving needs and formulations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives to ensure the delivery of integrated and psychologically informed care, coordinating and leading this when required.
