This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Psychology team within the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

#The post will offer 7.5 hours to the breast cancer service, supporting people with a diagnosis of breast cancer and 14 hours psychological support to the diabetes team.

The clinical psychology department has staff working in paediatric, transition and adult services across a range of specialties. The team meet regularly for department meetings and to share learning and knowledge. There are excellent links with the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme at UEA .

We would be keen to hear from applicants who are soon to complete their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and would appoint newly qualified staff on a Band 7. Candidates with at least 18 months experience would be appointed at a Band 8A.

The role includes a combination of individual assessment and treatment appointments, in addition to multi-disciplinary work and consultation. Clinical supervision will be provided by a consultant clinical psychologist and specialist EMDR supervision is available, if the post holder is trained in this approach.

CBT and ACT are currently the most commonly used therapies in these services, although CFT, motivational interviewing and EMDR are all also supported and supervision for these approaches can be offered.

There is scope for offering therapy groups in each specialty. The current post holder has developed excellent relationships with these teams and so Clinical Psychology is highly respected and valued.

In addition to duties within clinics, the post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development of Clinical Psychology across the Trust.

Part time: 21.5 hrs per week
