Commercial Finance and FP&A Manager

What’s the job?

Devolver Digital Group, an award-winning indie video game label, is looking for a finance manager with strong commercial acumen and a demonstrable passion for indie video games to drive the growth and profitability of the business and the development of the commercial finance function.

The role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this covers the full spectrum of operational and strategic commercial finance, including:

• Managing budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic financial planning, and owning the Group Financial Model
• Supporting management decision making with commercial analysis and insight, including review of business cases for our games
• Establishing relationships across the Group to understand and review financial performance and commercial drivers, and develop the operational business partnering capability
• Supporting the Group’s financial reporting, audit, and investor relations activities, and providing key input to Management and Board reporting
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and working with the team to develop the Group’s financial systems infrastructure

Skills and experience you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for someone with the drive, commercial awareness and skills to play a key role in developing our commercial finance and financial planning capabilities and make a real impact on the business.

• Passion and interest in the indie video game space is essential – you will be working with people who live and breathe indie video games!
• Fully qualified accountant/QBE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), likely with 3+ years PQE
• Highly commercial and analytical, with strong financial modelling skills and an ability to translate data sets into clearly presented outputs and commercial insights at pace
• Self-driven, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; ability to manage competing priorities to deliver to tight deadlines whilst maintaining strong attention to detail
• Highly systems literate; advanced Excel essential and ideally experience with PowerBI or other BI tools
• A friendly and considerate team player with effective communication skills; able to work with and adapt approach for colleagues across multiple departments and geographies
