The Role:

At En Route, we're looking for an experienced and influential Communications Manager to shape and strengthen how we engage with our people, customers, industry partners and stakeholders. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of our business, responsible for protecting and enhancing our reputation through impactful internal and external communications, thought leadership, executive profiling and strategic content initiatives.


As our communications expert and brand champion, you will lead the development and delivery of a communications strategy that inspires colleagues, elevates our market presence and supports business growth. You'll play a key role in ensuring our messaging is consistent, authentic and aligned with both En Route's ambitions and the wider dnata Group vision.


Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you'll drive employee engagement, strengthen stakeholder relationships and position En Route as a trusted and innovative leader within the travel services sector. From managing corporate communications and media relations to developing compelling leadership narratives and digital content strategies, you'll ensure every communication reflects our values, enhances our reputation and delivers meaningful impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy aligned to En Route's business objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Lead all external communications activities, including PR, media relations, industry publications, awards submissions, thought leadership and executive profiling.
  • Manage internal communications programmes across En Route and the wider Group, ensuring colleagues remain informed, engaged and connected to business priorities.
  • Own and manage the corporate communications calendar, maintaining consistent messaging across internal and external audiences.
  • Drive social media and content strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement and market presence.
  • Create compelling content across digital, print and omnichannel platforms, including press releases, articles, case studies, customer stories, presentations and leadership communications.
  • Support the Head of Marketing in strengthening En Route's positioning within the dnata Group, ensuring alignment with Group objectives while maintaining En Route's unique identity.
  • Contribute to crisis communications planning and delivery, ensuring accurate and timely messaging during business-critical situations.
  • Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to deliver integrated communications campaigns that support business goals.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders to develop authentic and engaging executive communications.
  • Manage external agencies, suppliers and partners to ensure high-quality delivery of communications and marketing assets.
  • Champion communication excellence, transparency and consistency across the organisation.



Practical & Technical Knowledge:

  • Extensive experience developing and delivering corporate communications strategies for both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong understanding of public relations, media engagement, crisis communications and reputation management.
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing and storytelling skills across a wide range of communication channels.
  • Proven experience developing executive profiling, leadership communications and thought-leadership content.
  • Strong knowledge of employee engagement and internal communications best practices.
  • Experience creating content for websites, social media and other digital platforms.
  • Ability to translate business strategy, market intelligence and customer insights into compelling communication campaigns.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience delivering corporate communications within a global B2B organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience managing both internal and external communications programmes.
  • Strong track record in media relations, PR and reputation management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive communications and leadership content.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple communications projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a matrix or multinational organisation would be advantageous.
