Job summary Consultant Paediatric Neurologist (2 WTE Substantive Posts) We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Consultant Paediatric Neurologists to join our dynamic and expanding Paediatric Neurosciences team. These substantive posts represent an exciting opportunity to join a tertiary paediatric neurology service at a pivotal time. The successful candidates will become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team providing specialist neurological care to children and young people from across the South West and beyond. We are looking for clinicians who are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and who will contribute to the continued development of specialist neurology services. The post holders will work alongside consultant paediatric neurologists, specialist nurses, psychologists, therapists, and regional network partners to provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. Opportunities exist to develop subspecialty interests aligned with service needs and individual expertise, while contributing to education, quality improvement, research and service innovation. Main duties of the job Main Responsibilities Provide consultant-led care within a tertiary paediatric neurology service. Deliver specialist outpatient and inpatient neurological care for children and young people. Participate in the paediatric neurology consultant on-call rota. Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and regional clinical networks. Support service development, quality improvement and clinical governance activities. Participate in teaching and training of medical, nursing and allied health professional colleagues. Develop subspecialty interests in line with departmental priorities and personal expertise. Contribute to research and innovation activities where appropriate.
