Job summary Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a General Medical Council (GMC) Sponsor Employer. This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000 in addition to £8000 relocation allowance. The RRP is pro rata for part time employees. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Children and Young People Services (CYPS) team in East Surrey. You will play a key role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 5-18, working with a skilled multi-disciplinary team based across Leatherhead and Gatton Place, Redhill. This is a great opportunity to provide clinical leadership and direct psychiatric care within a service that delivers early support and specialist interventions for young people experiencing mental health difficulties. Our team works closely with families, schools, social care, paediatrics, and voluntary sector partners to ensure joined-up, holistic care. You will carry out assessments, provide diagnosis and treatment, and offer consultation and supervision to colleagues across the service. The role also involves contributing to service development, clinical governance, teaching, and quality improvement activities. You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team, administrative staff, and a Trust that values learning, wellbeing, and professional development. Main duties of the job You'll have the opportunity of working within a well-established and friendly team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate and committed to the care needs of our children and young people. The postholder will offer outpatient clinics, hold a caseload and be required to do occasional home visits. You will liaise with primary care, be involved in referrals and new assessments. The post holder will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Full medical registration with a license to practice.
