CYP Speciality Doctor in CAMHS

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership are looking to recruit a Speciality Doctor to work withing our 0-18 CAMHS team at the Birch Centre.

The post holder will provide psychiatric support to the 0-18 CAMHS team. The post will be based within Wirral 0-18 Community CAMHS.

The CAMHS teams cover a range of services from community based assessments, urgent care, eating disorders, learning disabilities and Neurodevelopmental pathways. They also cover 2 councils’ areas (West and East Cheshire) under the I.C.B Agreements. All Trustwide CAMHS teams are multi-disciplinary in psychiatric care, Social care and administration.

The Post Holder Is Expected To

  • Provide clinical leadership to the team.
  • Provide consultation and input in Care plan and treatment formulation, guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
  • Ensure liaison and collaborative working with other services/agencies.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of duties under the Mental Health Act.
  • Ensure multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and partnership working.
