Role: Data Privacy Lead

Location: - London, UK

WorkingModel: - Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite)

Contract: - 6 Months

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Lead to lead privacy compliance initiatives, manage data protection risks, develop privacy frameworks, and ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant UK data protection regulations.

This role requires a strong understanding of privacy governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.



Key Responsibilitie

sPrivacy Governanc

  • eDevelop, maintain, and enforce data privacy policies and procedures
  • .Ensure alignment with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, and industry best practices
  • .Establish privacy controls and governance frameworks

.Compliance & Audi

  • tConduct privacy assessments and compliance reviews
  • .Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • .Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • .Support audit activities and regulatory reviews

.Risk Managemen

  • tIdentify and assess privacy risks
  • .Recommend mitigation strategies and corrective actions
  • .Support privacy-by-design initiatives across programmes and projects

.Incident & Breach Managemen

  • tLead investigations into privacy incidents and data breaches
  • .Coordinate breach response activities
  • .Manage regulatory notifications and reporting requirements
  • .Implement preventative measures and lessons learned

.Stakeholder Engagemen

  • tAct as the primary point of contact for privacy-related matters
  • .Collaborate with legal, security, compliance, and business teams
  • .Support regulatory and subject access request processes

.Training & Awarenes

  • sDeliver privacy awareness training
  • .Promote a privacy-first culture across the organisation
  • .Provide guidance on GDPR and data handling best practices

Required Skills & Experien

ceEssenti

  • alMinimum 8+ years of experience in Data Privacy, Data Protection, Information Governance, or Complianc
  • e.Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Ac
  • t.Experience conducting DPIAs and privacy risk assessment
  • s.Data breach management and incident response experienc
  • e.Privacy governance framework implementation experienc
  • e.Regulatory compliance and audit experienc
  • e.Strong stakeholder management and communication skill
  • s.Experience developing and implementing privacy policies and procedure

s.Preferr

  • edPrivacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalen
  • t.Experience working within highly regulated environment
  • s.Exposure to Information Security, Risk Management, or Compliance function
  • s.Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programme
