The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Manager to support recruitment across the business on a part-time basis.
This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and proactively sourcing candidates through to screening applicants and presenting high-quality shortlists to hiring managers.
The successful candidate will be confident identifying and engaging passive talent through LinkedIn and other channels, whilst ensuring a professional and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing
- Draft, post and manage job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
- Proactively source and engage potential candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks and other channels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Identify innovative and effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Support the business in reducing reliance on external recruitment agencies where appropriate.
Candidate Screening & Assessment
- Review applications and assess suitability against role requirements.
- Conduct initial telephone and video interviews.
- Evaluate candidate experience, skills, motivation and cultural fit.
- Produce candidate summaries and recommendations for hiring managers.
- Coordinate interview processes and candidate communications.
Recruitment Process Management
- Manage recruitment activity across multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment tracking.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand requirements and provide recruitment advice.
- Provide market insight on salaries, hiring trends and candidate availability.
Employer Brand & Talent Attraction
- Support the promotion of CIG as an employer of choice.
- Enhance the visibility of career opportunities across LinkedIn and other channels.
- Help develop recruitment messaging that reflects CIG's culture, values and growth ambitions.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or executive search.
- Strong experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and other direct channels.
- Excellent interviewing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify and assess high-quality candidates across a range of disciplines.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
Strongly Preferred
- Proven recruitment or talent acquisition experience within media, publishing, events, healthcare or other content-led organisations.
- Demonstrable success sourcing and hiring commercial, editorial, marketing, digital and production talent.
- Strong understanding of the media and publishing landscape and the skills required to succeed within it.
- Established network of relevant candidates and industry contacts.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other proactive sourcing tools.

Remuneration
Competitive day rate or monthly retainer, dependent on experience.
Working Pattern
This role is expected to require approximately 1–2 days per week, with flexibility around how those hours are structured. The role can be undertaken remotely, with occasional attendance at meetings if required.
