With a reputation for engineering excellence and a commitment to sustainable water management solutions, Hydro International is at the forefront of helping customers reduce flood risk, improve water treatment and protect the environment.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Area Manager, leading projects, developing teams, and driving operational performance within a business that plays a vital role in the UK's water infrastructure sector.What You'll Be DoingAs Deputy Operations Manager, you will act as the second-in-command to the Area Manager, helping to oversee daily operations while ensuring engineering projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.Key responsibilities will include:Supporting and deputising for the Area Manager when requiredLeading the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects and repair activitiesDriving operational performance, resource utilisation and effective scheduling of engineering teamsManaging project budgets, costs and profitability to ensure commercial successProviding leadership, coaching and development opportunities for operational and engineering teamsConducting site visits, surveys and estimates, while preparing customer quotationsManaging contractual obligations and providing technical guidance across projectsProducing project reports, programme plans and Gantt charts to monitor deliveryCollaborating with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standardsBuilding strong customer relationships and supporting business growth through a consultative approachWhat We Are Looking ForWe're looking for a proactive and commercially aware leader who combines strong engineering expertise with excellent people management and project delivery skills.
