This role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation, support, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications, enabling employees across the organisation to work effectively and with minimal disruption. About the role: As a member of our 1st Line IT Support team your purpose will be the receive tickets from across the business and then co-ordinate rapid and appropriate responses/resolutions to the incidents and requests. For each issue you will escalate requests for assistance to the appropriate team members if needed, monitor progress and keep internal customers appraised of your progress.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across Angel Trains’ offices in London and Derby, our storage site in Ely and employee remote working locations.
  • Record and manage tickets within the company’s IT support portal.
  • Manage user accounts across various internal systems.
  • Support Microsoft Online Services (Intune, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Endpoint Management etc).
  • Support Microsoft on-premises infrastructure (Active Directory, Exchange Server etc).
  • Support Oracle eBusiness Suite and Cloud infrastructure
  • Build and support client-based hardware, including Windows laptops and iOS phones.
  • Provide hardware for new starters and upgrades for existing employees as directed.
  • Support peripheral devices within the office (printers, copiers, scanners etc).


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience working within a similar role.
  • Experience in the following areas – Windows Operating Systems (client/server) and Application Suite products; Networking – DNS / DHCP / VPNs / LAN; Device setup, configuration and deployment; Working within an ITIL framework.
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation as well as external contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple incoming tasks.
  • Excellent core IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and delivering internal user training materials.
