Derbyshire County Council is looking for an exceptional leader to become our next Executive Director of Adult Social Care & Health and Statutory Director of Adult Social Services.

Serving more than 800,000 residents across one of England's largest counties, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of adult social care, public health and community wellbeing at a time of significant national reform and local ambition.

As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for residents, strengthening partnerships across health and care, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of services that help people live healthy, independent and fulfilling lives.

You will provide strategic leadership for Adult Social Care and Public Health, fulfil the statutory responsibilities of the Director of Adult Social Services, and work with elected members, NHS leaders, providers, communities and regional partners to deliver lasting change.

You will help shape the future of Derbyshire's public services by strengthening prevention, tackling inequality, driving innovation and ensuring services remain high quality, responsive and financially sustainable.

You will bring significant leadership experience, political awareness and a strong track record of leading organisational change within complex environments. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, building trusted relationships and making difficult decisions while maintaining a relentless focus on residents and outcomes.
