About The Role
We're seeking a skilled Fabric Technician with a strongpainting and decorating background to join our team in Borehamwood. In thisrole, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactivefabric maintenance, with a particular focus on painting, decorating, makinggood, surface preparation, finishes and general building repairs across aprofessional client environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparesurfaces including filling, sanding, making good, priming and applying suitablefinishes
- Supportminor building repairs, basic carpentry, door furniture, fixtures and fittingswhere needed
- Completetouch-ups, repairs and planned redecoration works in client-facing areas
- Respondto reactive fabric maintenance tasks and complete works within agreedtimescales
- Repairand replace wall coverings, ceiling tiles, flooring finishes and other generalfabric items as required
- Liaisewith client representatives and site teams to deliver a professional, tidy andcustomer-focused service
- Usethe PDA system to update jobs, record works completed and maintain clearcommunication
- Ensureall works are completed safely and in line with site procedures, riskassessments and health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Confidentwith surface preparation, filling, sanding, priming, emulsion, gloss work andgeneral finishing
- Previousfabric maintenance experience, including basic repairs, making good and minorbuilding works
- Experienceworking in high-profile or client-facing environments
- Goodunderstanding of health and safety requirements including COSHH, Working atHeights and risk assessments
- Strongattention to detail with pride in delivering a clean, professional finish
- Goodcommunication skills and the ability to build positive relationships withclients and colleagues
- Self-motivated,organised and able to manage workload effectively
- BasicIT skills and confidence using job management systems or PDA devices
