Fundraising Operations Support Officer (Maternity Cover)

The Vacancy
We are actively recruiting for a maternity cover to our Fundraising Operations Support Officer position to provide a comprehensive operational and administrative support service to the Community Fundraising team.
The dynamic team develops and implements strategies to increase the funding income of Islamic Relief through a range of fundraising initiatives and through acquisition and retention of supporters.
Based from our Waterloo office, London (with hybrid working), this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference by supporting the regional fundraising activities, projects and partnerships to ensure maximum income is received.
About the role:
As the Fundraising Operations Support Officer, you will play a key role in providing a comprehensive operational and administrative support services and establishing and maintaining effective communication with all regional fundraising teams and other functions of IRUK
About you:
You will be an organised and proactive professional with a commitment to IRW’s mission and values.
You will ideally have:
- Degree level qualifications or equivalent
- Proven experience in working in a similar role managing day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Experience planning, prioritising and working to tight timescales on various projects
- Experience of setting up and maintaining management information and data retrieval systems and CRM databases such as Raisers Edge
- Experience of diary and correspondence management and maintaining financial records
- Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Trello
- Experience supporting a large, widespread and remote team with a strong initiative and the ability to understand departmental needs and move forward with them
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal with high levels of computer literacy
- Knowledge and understanding of using relationship management database software and collating data and producing reports
- Work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team, without close supervision
- Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objective of the organisation
- Numerical skills, the ability to work accurately under pressure and pay attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate a consistent approach to others with confidence and integrity
