Governance & Assurance Manager
We are currently partnering with a University based in the South-West who are recruiting for a Governance & Assurance Manager to join their team on an initial 3-month locum basis.
This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants (minimum of 3 days per week), and can be carried out on a remote basis. The daily rate for this role is circa £350 per day (Umbrella), and they are looking for someone to get started as soon as possible.
Duties will include (but are not limited to)
- Providing administrative and governance support to Board committees, including meeting coordination and action tracking
- Drafting clear and concise papers and reports for Board and committee review
- Reviewing and updating policies to reflect regulatory, legislative and organisational changes
- Leading the delivery of effective governance, assurance and regulatory compliance across the University
- Acting as a trusted adviser to the Board of Governors, Board and Committee Chairs, executive colleagues and senior leaders
- Developing and continuously improving governance frameworks, committee structures, policies, assurance processes and regulatory reporting
Requirements
- Governance experience within public sector, ideally within Higher Education
- Strong experience managing Board and committee papers
Working hours
- Open to part-time and full-time applicants
- Minimum 3 days per week
- Monday – Friday, flexible start/finish times
