Role Overview
Job Title: Graduate / Broking Assistant
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: London (4 days in the office)
Role Description
This role is designed as an entry-level opportunity with a clear progression path into a broking position. Initially, the successful candidate will support the team with administrative and technical tasks, while gaining hands-on exposure to the full insurance placement process.
You will work closely with experienced brokers and be involved in transactions from initiation through to placement and servicing. This is a unique opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the London Market, underwriting processes, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support invoicing and financial processing activities
- Assist with the production of client presentations and materials
- Take detailed notes during internal and external meetings
- Assist in the preparation of underwriting slips and endorsements
- Support production of bordereaux and other reporting documentation
- Coordinate claims processes and assist with payment queries
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Attend client meetings and market meetings alongside senior brokers
- Use platforms such as PPL and Whitespace to obtain market agreement
- Assist in producing Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) and policy documentation
- Support drafting and reviewing policy wordings
- Develop knowledge of the London and international insurance markets
- Contribute as an effective team member within the London office
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented graduate who is eager to build a career in insurance broking.
Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree (graduating Summer 2026 or recently graduated)
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Solid numeracy and analytical ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive and collaborative team-oriented mindset
- Desirable
- Spanish language skills (highly beneficial given client base)
- Interest in international markets and complex risk environments
